You can only make general plans. Though weather predictions can be very accurate these days they can also go awry. We've been complete missed by predicted rain this year on several occasions.

And the State, counties and cities are not even bothering to take the fairly cheap repairs to the roads which will collapse this years as several did last year if we have another rainy season. And it's beginning to look like it.

Yeah, major access roads to mountain regions, even designated wilderness regions have not been repaired in a decade (2?) in Washington state. & I'm not just talking about dead-end logging roads to already cut log parcels. At times, access roads to entire towns languish for long periods before repairs are made.

Highway 2 has some sweet new quiet pavement, east of Everett about 20 miles. Was on SR-12 a couple times the past 6-7 months. Previously put wider tires on the car for easier cornering. But quickly dodging the pot holes on SR-12, came in handy, too. Freezes & thaws (& studded tires) really damage roads. If western Washington weather would freeze & stay frozen, road damage would be less. But, that is WW.

Dodges know how to dodge potholes.... nah! Actually, a wider, larger diameter tire can bridge the smaller potholes, better than the many OE small tires. Also, small cars dodge potholes easier than big vehicles.
